Cortijo Fuente Arriba is a renovated Andalucian Cortijo (Farmhouse) with a swimming pool and stunning views. It offers rest, relaxation and an unforgettable experience of Spanish mountain hospitality from the delightful and charming villagers of Lubrin in the Province of Almeria in Andalucia.
It is set on a hilltop and retains its original character and charm with beamed ceilings, wooden shutters and thick original walls which keep the apartment interior cool in the hot summer months.
Outside there are 2 private terraces surrounded by 2 acres of mature gardens with olive, almond and pomegranate trees where you can find the sun or shade through the day.
Lubrin village is just a few minutes walk and has a good choice of Spanish Tapas Bars & Restaurants as well as supermarkets and banks. Market day is on a Wednesday and is a real social event as well as an opportunity to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and haberdashery.
Lubrin is located about 1 hour cross country from Almeria Airport or 2 hours motorway/cross country from Alicante or Murcia Airports. The well known beach resorts of Mojacar and Garrucha which are just 45 minutes away by car and the drive along the scenic route, via Bedar, is awesome!!
The ancient Andalusian city of Almeria(1 hour away) lies sheltered at the base of a bay, proudly dominated by the amazing Alcazaba, a huge Moorish citadel with three walled enclosures dating from 995.
Lubrin is just 30mins from the Almeria- Seveilla Motorway so that Granada, Sierra Nevada and the Alpuharras are just over 2 hours away and the skiing and walking seasons adds another dimension to life in Lubrin. fix!!!!
