CORTIJO LOS ARRENDAJOS
Los Arrendajos is a secluded new holiday property built in a traditional Spanish style featuring wooden ceilings and terracotta floor tiles.
Its modern conveniences, comfortable furnishings and stunning views offer you the chance to relax and enjoy the best of rural Spanish life.
The house overlooks a rich mixture of olive groves, arable farming land and dramatic mountain scenery. The spacious accommodation easily sleeps six people, and the 3.5 acres of grounds ensure the guests privacy.
The House
There are three double bedrooms and a living and dining area all of which have been furnished in a simple, sophisticated style which is above all both comfortable and relaxing.
The kitchen, alongside the dining area, has all the modern appliances that you need: dishwasher, freezer, two fridges, built-in hob and oven, washing machine, microwave etc. The bathroom is large and airy and hot water is available whenever you want it.
Outside the house the covered porch provides shade for those hot summer days but, beside the private pool, the real sun worshippers can have full sun from dawn to dusk.
Out and about
Montefrio (10 minutes) is the nearest town and has shops, bars and restaurants. It is well known in Spain because of its dramatic setting, and, being off the British tourist route, still retains an authentic Spanish flavour and offers true Spanish prices.
Granada is about an hours drive from Montefrio and its Alhambra Palace is not to be missed.
The Mediterranean coast, Seville and Cordoba are all within easy reach and if you book Los Arrendajos in the spring you could always go skiing or boarding on the Sierra Nevada slopes.
Getting there
Malaga and Granada are the nearest airports, both being served by low cost British airlines.
