Cave House in Cortes de Baza, Granada, Spain
Unusual cave house in private setting, at the edge of the quiet picturesque village of Cortes de Baza, with its wide, orange tree-lined streets situated north east of Granada. Deliciously cool in summer. Cosy in winter with wood burner in fireplace. Well appointed with modern appliances and the luxury of an exclusive private swimming pool and terrace. Impressive view of Jabalcon. Good location for day trips, walking or lazing by the pool.
Bedroom One: Double bed. Bedside drawers with lamps, wardrobe, tall chest of drawers, Mirror.
Bedroom two: Twin beds with generously sized single beds. Bedside drawers with lamps, tall chest of drawers, mirror . Window onto pool.
Bathroom Spacious bathroom with shower, lavatory, bidet, wash basin, and washing machine. Well lit mirror. Wonderful view of the Jabalcon mountain through the window.
Kitchen The kitchen with typically Spanish rustic charm and a modern finish, provides storage, 2 ceramic Spanish sinks, oven and large hob (both gas), coffee maker, toaster and kettle, huge fridge-freezer, and microwave. The kitchen is separated from the diner by Spanish arches.
Diner The dining area has a large fireplace with woodburner, and two tables with 8 chairs. The window looks out onto the pool and terrace garden, with views over the hills and the Jabalcon mountain.
There is a living room with a double sofa-bed, coffee table, shelves and armchairs. There is a DVD and CD and tape player, various games, playing cards and books.
There is a locked storage room next to the pool with additional furniture for use inside the house or out in the garden.
Cleaning / Towels The house is cleaned and towels and linen are included.
The cave is carved from impervious rock and so retains a temperature of about 18 C all year round.
