Nerja is located on the Costa del sol approximately 30 miles North of Malaga.

The coastline of Nerja is undoubtedly one of the most attractive in Andalucia, with approximately 12 miles of beach with fine sand sand and crystal clear water.

The beaches of Nerja are very visitor friendly with English speaking locals and a wide choice of water sports on offer.

Nerja is well known for the spectacular Balcon de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, with its sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains.

From Balcon de Europa you can take a horse-drawn carriage and explore the romantic corner of the town or simply enjoy the view from the balcon restaurant.

Nerja is also renowned for the famous Nerja Caves ( Ceuvas de Nerja ) where you can see the widest natural column in the world and array of stalactites and stalagmites. The caves are also often used as a concert hall because of their fantastic natural acoustics.

If you take the cave tour you will be taken back in time and see displays of archaeological finds and original cave paintings.

After your visit to the Nerja caves don't forget to try one of the beachfront restaurants on the Northern side of Nerja, the seafood is excellent. Why not try the Paella ? You are in Spain after all.
